How do I know for sure that I'm saved?

If there was a time in your life that you have fully trusted in the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour and confessed that you are a sinner 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."   Your sins are forgiven and now you are recorded, 1 John 5:11-13,  "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."   This record is kept in the book of life, Revelation 20:15, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Where can I find the Lord?

The Lord Jesus sits on the right hand of God, Mark 16:19, "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."  Those who believe in the Lord shall find Him,   Proverbs 8:17, "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me."  Jeremiah 29:13, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."   Those who wait to late shall not find Him, Proverbs 1:28, "Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:"  When you receive the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, He will never leave you, Hebrews 13:5b, ..."I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."  He will always be by your side.

Why doesn't everyone get saved?

Some people may say, "God is too good and he is not going to send people too hell."  In 2 Peter 2:4, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;"  Not everyone is going to be saved.  It is a choice that people make whether to accept Christ or reject Christ. John 3:36, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."  Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."  John 3:18, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."  According to the Word of God that not everyone will be saved, only those who choose the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Who is the Lord?

He is our Saviour Jesus.  Matthew 1:21, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."  He was prophesied in the Old Testament of His birth.  Isaiah 7:14, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."  Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."  This was all foretold in the Old Testament and became reality in the New Testament.  Matthew 1:23, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."  He is the Alpha and Omega, in Revelation 1:8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 22:13, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."  He was the Word and then was made flesh."   John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:2, "The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:14, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

What is the Lords purpose?

The Lords purpose is to seek and to save the lost.  Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."  1 Timothy 1:15, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;..."

When is He coming again?

We do not know the day or the hour.  Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."  Matthew 24:36, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."  Matthew 25:13, "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."   He will come to take His church (bride) before the seven year tribulation period.   1 Corinthians 15:52, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."  1 Thessalonians 4:16, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"  His second coming will be after the seven year tribulations of those left behind and we will ride with Him for 1000 year millennium reign.  Revelation 19:11, "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war." Revelation 19:12, "His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself." Revelation 19:13, "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God." Revelation 19:14, "And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean."  Even those who left behind can be saved.  Revelation 20:4 "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
