Repentance is commanded of God Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: c. The message of repentance is for both Jew and Gentile. Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Assurance of Salvation is lacking in their preaching. a. The very first promise of Jesus was about everlasting life. I John 2:25 CF: John 3:16-17 b. Jesus was given the power to grant eternal life to those who believe. John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. c. Jesus preached the truth of eternal life given to believers. John 6:40, 6:47 17:2, 17:3 d. God made known eternal life unto men. I John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
