Purpose of The Ministry

The purpose of the ministry is fulfill the objectives Jesus has for the church. Each church in the book of Revelation had a specific function regarding the Lord's will. Our purpose as a church is to fulfill His will for us. We are called to minister the Word of God into the lives of people. We are to be faithful to our calling. We are to do what we do heartily as we fulfill this objective through the ministry of our church. We minister the Word of God into the lives of people, through our Sunday School, Morning and Evening services, our Prayer and Bible study service held during the week. We also fulfill our calling through personal work within the church and without. Additionally, we have ministries which work through our church to the community and beyond, such as Nursing home ministries, Bus ministry, Missions etc.

Pastor's Personal Testimony

The Pastor was influenced to receive Jesus as his savior as a result of his Mother's testimony. His mother received Christ as her savior. Her life for Christ impacted him at a young age. Being in church helped him to become familiar with the Word of God. But it was not until he became a teenager, that he personally received Christ as his savior.

Being saved through the local church ministry of Bible Baptist Church, Ocala, Florida, the Pastor began to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. He surrendered unto full time ministry, and graduated from Trinity Baptist College, in Jacksonville, Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Church Ministries.

Pastor's Ministry Experience

As previously stated the Pastor graduated from Trinity Baptist College. After graduation he returned to his home church, Bible Baptist Church, Ocala, Florida where he served as Assistant Pastor and Youth Director for two years. Then he received a call from Bell Street Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas as Pastor. He pastored Bell Street Baptist Church for 11 years. Then he received the call to Pastor Ocala Baptist Temple. Presently the Pastor is celebrating his 10th. year anniversary as Pastor. of the church.

In his ministry Pastor Chaffin has seen 9 people surrender unto full time ministry in the churches he has Pastored.

Pastor's Family

Pastor Chaffin is married unto his wife Cindy.

They recently celebrated their 25th. year wedding anniversary.

The pastor has 6 children. One married and is a graduate of Trinity Baptist College. One son (Mark) serving in the Marine Corps at the Roman Embassy, Italy. One daughter (Elizabeth) serving in the Army, Military Intelligence, Hawaii. The three remaining children living at home are in high school.
