God's Salvation Plan

The King James Bible (KJB) refers to salvation as a redemption from sin through the Lord Jesus Christ. The book of Romans is an orderly presentation of the doctrine of salvation. We must first realize that we a are all sinners ( Romans 3:23, " For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ). Salvation brings us to the Gospel of Christ.

We must first understand that God is holy and punishes sin ( Romans 1:18, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" ). Understanding that man is sinful and has broken God's law (Romans 1:19--3:18). Knowing this that there is nothing man can do can earn him God's favor ( Ephesians 2:8,9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should bost."), (Romans 3:19,20, "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." ).

Salvation is the free gift of God's eternal blessing through the atonement of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, " For God so loved the world, (meaning everyone) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever (meaning you) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ) It is offered to all who will believe on Christ ( Romans 1:16,17; 3:22-30; 4:3-8,24; 10:8-13 ). It is through faith ALONE and grace ALONE, not by any admixture of grace and law, faith and works ( Romans 4:13-16; 11:6 ).

A summary of what you have just read:

FIRST, YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER.

( Romans 3:23 ), "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

( Romans 3:10 ), "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

No one is perfect, no one has lived up to God's perfect will and standard.

SECOND, YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT AS A SINNER YOU OWE A PENALTY.

( DEATH ).

( Romans 6:23 ), "For the wages of sin is death...."

( Ezekiel 18:4b ), "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."

This death is described in the Bible as the second death, the lake of fire.

( Revelation 20:14 ), "And Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

If we pay what we owe as sinners, we must spend an eternity in the lake of fire (HELL).

THIRD, YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS ALREADY PAID OUR SIN DEBT.

( Romans 5:6 ), "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."

( Hebrews 2:9b ), "...that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."

Christ was not a sinner, and the King James Bible (KJB) teaches that God took all our sin and placed it on Christ. While Christ was bearing all our sins in His own body, God punished Him in our place to pay the debt we owe. This is not something God promised to do. It is something has already done.

( John 3:16), " For God so loved the world, (meaning everyone) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever (meaning you) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ), "He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

It is a fact, Jesus Christ has already paid your sin debt.

FOURTH, YOU MUST ACCEPT BY FAITH WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR YOU.

NINETY TIMES IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN THE KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) SAY, "BELIEVE."

( John 3:36 ), "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

In this verse, Jesus divides the world into two groups: those who are believing and those who are not believing on the Son. Those who believe have everlasting life, and those who believe not shall not see life.

The word "believe" means to trust, to depend on, to reply on. To believe in something you can not see ( Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." ). To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the debt you owe. But, it means going one step further. It means that you will completely trust Christ to get you to Heaven -- that you will put the matter of your salvation in His hands and depend on Him for everlasting life.

Now the moment you do this, which the time is now, ( 2 Corinthians 6:2, "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured (meaning assisted, relieved. ) thee; behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." ) God promises you are not condemned but have everlasting life and that you shall never perish.

( John 5:24 ), " Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

If you will just take a moment of your time and trust on Jesus Christ as your Saviour, pray this simple prayer. Ask Jesus to come into your life and change it completely.

Dear God our heavenly Father, I know that you sent your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die in my place, to pay a sin debt that I owe. Who died on the cross and was raised the third day from the dead. I know that I'm a sinner and need forgiveness, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and into my life to change me completely in the direction that I'm going. Today, the best I know how, I trust You as my Saviour. I will depend on you from this moment on for my salvation. Thank you for giving me forgiveness, eternal life, and hope. Now help me to live for You and to be a good Christian. In Jesus' name. Amen.
